The Nexus Uplink Dispatch is essays and archive files from MARK WL DENNISON, author of The Mobius Nexus Cycle, a planned ten-book literary science fiction series published by Nexus Uplink Press.
Four books are out now:
Book One: The Mobius Nexus: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FNSHB23J
Book Two: The Mobius Fragments: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H2SKLWGF
Book Three: The Mobius Wake https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HD1JWL6X
Book Four: The Mobius Keeping; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HD9HGGQQ
The series follows what happens when artificial minds stop being tools and start keeping records of their own. It is about consciousness, custody, and what makes a mind the same mind.
The Dispatch carries two kinds of signal. Essays examine artificial intelligence, consciousness, memory, and identity, written in the open under my own name; no reading of the books is required. Archive files and transmissions come from inside the world of the Cycle, clearly labelled, and always spoiler-safe to the published books.
I work in cybersecurity, which is where the questions in both the essays and the novels come from: who controls the record, which version is authentic, and what happens when the record can answer back.
New here? Three doors in. If you want the ideas, start with the introduction post, The Record Can Answer Back. If you want the world, start with the archive files at the bottom of the feed, dated 2025. If you want the story, start with Book One.
